Last time I went to round to see my father last week he told me about some oss magazine ringing up... again!, he couldn't remember exactly which one it as I went through various ones asking if it was them but he said ''Oh I duno, just some horse magazine company asking for you, about subscribing etc, told them you weren't interested but still proceeded to tell me about if you join now you get so and so free and this and that...bla bla bla''
He said ''I couldn't get rid of the bloody woman, so I said to the woman on the phone, hang on then, I'll just go get her as I think she's outside, I'll just put you hold for a moment''
Went and sat back down in front of the TV for the rest of the evening, fews hourse later he goes back to the phone to discover his plan has worked.
I said that wasn't very nice dad!
''Doubt she'll be ringing again'' he mumbled with a proud look on his face

its quite interesting to go back later and look at how long they held for as well!
