I was very cross but have calmed down now (a bit!) I took Daisy to the yard with me, she sat in the car whilst i made the feeds up and brought the girls in, I took her for a walk whilst they were eating, i put her in the car when i wanted to turn the girls back out. She sits on the back seat wearing her harness and a special lead thats fits into the seat belt plug so she is secure.

Hmmmm she has worked out how to get out of the harness and chewed through the wiring under the drivers seat that controls the airbags!! I have a warning light on my dash board on!! Ive just rung the garage oh dear i think its going to be costly!! I havent told my oh yet!! I wouldnt mind but she never chews things!! she didnt even as a pup she is now nearly 3!

Dogs and cars eh?? last time she stood on the button for the central locking when i got out to open the gate and i had left the engine running and she was locked in.... i had to smash the window with a brick!!

One of OH terriers destrpyed the interior of a range rover seats door panel anything it coul get hold of I know it doesnt help your airbags but it could have been worse

My 3 year old dog goes in the boot of my jeep whilst i fetch the horses in ( so for all of 20 mins at the most) i have a jeep so although she is a big dog there is loads and loads of room in there. For some reason despite having a dog guard up she decided to reach through and chew my seatbelts. The result the car failed its MOT cause of the seatbelts and new ones ( which had to come from jeep) cost £80 each + fitting.
She has never chewed anything in the house or car ever other than that, i now keep them fastened at all times so even if she trys she cant reach them!!

My doberman pup ate the roof of my renault clio! the wee beast that she is!! We had taken the back seats out boarded the base where the seats where so its flat for her and put a proper dog guard to keep her in the back of the car only.. and then caged the very back at the back door so i can leave the back boot door open and she cant get out.. Shes a wee monster.. lovable and so cute.. my hubby near had a hairy fit when he saw my car roof but to be honest i am sure she will do worse to it over the years..lol..

Our first generation of JRT's chewed the gearstick and door panels of my husband's first and very new company car many years ago.
