Had "words" with Asti last night about why she should co-operate and come into season...
Gave her the bad side first... if she doesn't come into season, she will have to have nasty vets put nasty scanner things up her bottom more than necessary... possibly nasty injections, and if that doesn't work nasty drugs in tiny bits of feed, all on top of being covered and a scan to check for a lovely baby.
On the other hoof, pointed out that if she sorted herself out, and came into season and got preggers, it would mean:- a private suite when she got home, no Ivy to pester her; being waited on hoof and hoof; lots of lovely feed this winter; being spoilt rotten; less excercise - no more four hour hacks; no shows or dressage or endurance rides; being spoilt rotten; being spoilt rotten and being spoilt rotten and a lovely baby to play with, and the summer off next year...
This, was her very eloquent and dignified response...
