Naughty horse and confidence thread

I don't know if this can be done as a sticky but I have noticed how many people at the moment are having trouble with their horses and as a result it's knocking their confidence. Now I am one of these people, I have a new horse that is owned by my best friend. She is unable to ride so it is up to me, he is ex riding school and is big, strong and very very stubborn!

He likes to argue with you, he will do it but only once he's had a argument with you first. Now I can deal with that in field but not out hacking. Traffic just doesn't account for that now, people just arn't patient anymore! This has knocked my confidence.

I was thinking if we have a permanant thread to write our highs, lows and tips that it may help us all. What do people think?

i have found it really reassuring ready the other threads and knowing it wasn't just me. My lad is an absolute nightmare at the moment, i've never had this much trouble with him. I was riding him the other day and it felt like a different horse had swopped personalities with him and my nice horse was gone! i'm hoping its just the after-winter crazies but i don't remember it ever being this bad.

I think this will be a very useful thread adn should be stickied! My boy is currently stuck on box rest until the end of Feb
I am hoping I wont need the advice on this thread but it will still be usefull to have it around

I'm with you all too but friday i got to the point of giving up on the horse i posted about, would be different if he was mine, but i'm paying to do it all myself and not getting much out of it anymore. That's all on another post won't bore you with it!
Confidence with him is zero now....really down about it and in a rut, smoke will clear soon enough though!
