Don't get the bit about having to canter before camp. Our PC caters for all levels. I don't think a nervous child and mum, and a nappy bucking pony should try cantering until they are confident and in control in walk and trot. Get the basics established and the canter will come. But in my view hungry pony=naughty pony. Good professional help is the answer.
Well, we've had a better weekend with the naughty mare, after we finally caught her! One of the ladies at the yard is going to give us an hour a week to teach us some stable management and riding tuition. Feel a bit more optimistic this week! Thanks for all your helpful comments.
