Yes, naughty pony has become an escapeologist, and has decided the grass is greener on the other side of the electric fence.

First she was limboing under, so we added a second lower strand. Then she had visions of greatness and started jumping over, so we have increased the height. I anticipate the next move will be to bulldozer straight through, she has her rug as amour! I have a vague recollection of reading somewhere about something you can attach to the rug so the zapper still works, anyone heard of this, or any other bright ideas?

nb I was cruel mummy on the mildest day this week, I took her rug (not a great fan of rugging but she is clipped) of and put her back where she should be, and the zapper got her on the way back as she had lost respect and touched it. funny she didn't try and escape again that day.

My mare was in a field with electric fencing along the fence, which wasn't turned on, she use to escape under eat over and rub on the fence, needless to say, you have to be cruel to be kind, so one day she decided to rub her bum again, and I linked the gate from another paddock on and it sent an electric shock straight through her body! Will not go near any white tape looking things any more! As cruel as it sounds, but I think then need to be aware that it will electrocute them so they won't go near it again x

Thanks for replies. Saw her do it yesterday, she is shimmying along fence and then makes a sort of dive, and goes over lower strand and under top strand and it looks like she takes a hit from the electric. Today i will add a third strand and see what happens.

I can't believe how naughty your pony is! If she tries and succeeds again then I'd buy the attachments you put on the rug, she shouldn't go near now she's had a shock naked, but ones she realised the rug protects her definitely get the attachments x
