OK - just a bit of advice please....

How do you get a young welsh A with ants in his pants to stand still in the lineup?

How do you stop the little git from biteing my wrists!

Not overly worried about either of these at the moment as only showing in hand but next year want to progress to leadrein and manners are paramount!

Be fair, kind but firm and most of all consistent! Welshies need to know where the line is and it must never move.

Practice at home, every time he moves put him back only say stand when he is standing, then reward. However don't expect him to stand for very long, as soon as you feel he is going to start moving, but BEFORE he does, make it your idea to move him. Then repeat

As for the biting, if you don't stop it it will get worse. as small but sharpish tug on the lead rope and firm NO or touch his shin with your foot, firmly but not a kick as such. as you do it DON'T look at him (this has to be done very quickly if not at the same time as he bites)
