Thought i'd share what the mad TB has been up to today. He lives at home on the farm and he is currently on his summer regime of in during the day and out at night, so at about 11am I went to see him, calling him as I walked down the path-no response- I thought that was a bit strange and as I approached, I saw that the bar across his door had been removed(by him) (the door was open to let the air in ) and ...no horse.

Bugger I thought, he can't be far as there is quite a lot of grass around, but where to start... so looked in his paddock, around the paddock....nothing at all and then it started raining....so I decided that there was no way that he would choose to be outside in the rain, so I walked back to the buildings. As I was walking past one with a tractor in, I saw movement and there he was, standing just inside, winding the cows up and waiting for the rain to stop, not a care in the world!! He didn't even look guility!!! When I walked up to him he just said hello and asked for mints!!

What have yours done that they should feel guility for????

Aren't they funny?! ;) One of my fellows "begs" for treats by lifting a front leg up and waving it around. Don't know why, but he's done it since we got him and it's very cute. However, you have to be careful when tying him up, as he'll beg at anyone who's nearby and try to melt some heartstrings in return for a tasty treat. Not a problem apart from when the leadrope is too long and he goes that bit too far and gets his leg stuck over the rope. He's not a panicky sort - in fact I'm sure he knows he's been a bit of a plonker - so he just waits there, leg over rope, head down, eyes peering up calmly, waiting for someone to release him. It happens quite a lot, so we keep a watchful eye on him at all times. :)

Got to the yard today to be told mine had mugged someone.
His stable and the one next to it sort of share a entrance bit. Friend went to feed her horse and Frankie managed to grab one of the handles of the bowl as she went past and wasn't letting go. Cue big tug of war and much shouting before he could be persuaded to let go.
He'd not long had his breakfast and had a big net of haylage and a big pile of hay on the floor but it would seem this wasn't good enough.
