I've taken my horse barefoot so no experience wedges didn't suit and he was in pain having shoes nailed on . I have recently read a post about someone using a wedge to ease heels etc and instead of graduating them over several months went straight to bf . Unfortunately the change in angle affected tendons and her poor horse is dealing with this as well . I'm not advising you what to do just saying it's something that alters angle and tension in leg structure and should be considered
