Cant see a navicular fracture cause too many issues. Never seen horses with it, but other than early onset of navicular sydrome in that foot due to poor fracture healing, I cant see much other issues.

Crossy tye.. then least he cant walk, he'll still weave but thats ok..
Speak to the vet.. whats he say?

I had a mare (17hh tank of an American OTTB) who sustained a navicular fracture. Initially, it was diagnosed as a hoof abcess, as x-rays looked clear, but after a week of treating and no result, the vet did another x-ray and found the fracture. This was several years ago, so I don't recall exactly how long she was on box rest, but she only ever really came field sound, and that was with the help of shoes called "Sneakers" (made by Equithotics, don't know if they are available in the UK). She is now happy as a broodmare, and appears sound in the field. The vet did give the okay to ride gently at walk and trot, but that was thought to be as good as she would get.
