Some of you may have read my previous thread when I found out that my horse had navicular and I wasn't too sure what to do
http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=558349
Since this thread, I have decided to go down the barefoot route and after almost two weeks of just turnout I am about to get back on and ride. I have been told by the vet just to gently walk and trot for the next two weeks on a soft surface.
My question is, do I put boots on her feet when I ride her or can you ride a barefoot horse on an arena surface gently without doing any damage? Sorry for the numpty esque question but I really don't have a clue about barefoot, navicular I know about now but barefoot I don't
And does any body have any useful lnks to websites re going barefoot and which boots should i use?
Thank you for any responses in advance
