i have lucky because helga would have got it but it never got that far. The vet said to leave jumping for a year and then see if she could be jump but i am not bothered about jumping because i have always done showing or dressage on her. All she has is bar shoes on no other treatment. She only showed the signs of lame ness in hard ground when going tight circles. I don`t really know how lucky she was until i read this here.

megan was diagnosed last march and we missed all summer last year. she is now sound and we went back to dressage competitions in november. she is wearing aluminium egg bar shoes with raised heels and rolled toes. The middle of the shoes are filled with silicone type stuff to provide support over her whole foot so her weight is distributed over the whole foot and not just round the edges. She has synequin in her feed which is a chondroprotective feed supplement and she wears magnetic hoof boots from equi magnets overnight.
she has also had a course of tildren but this was actually for a hock injury she sustained last june in the field.

hope this info is of some use
