There is a local showing show coming up next week near me, and I wondered if it’s possible to wear a navy jacket, as I don’t own tweed and it’s very expensive to buy one.. it’s only a local fun show, but with your regular classes I was going to enter the Hunter classes. Can I just use my navy jacket? Will it be marked down/ frowned upon?

If it’s a local show dress code won’t be so critical. When I showed my youngster the only jacket I had was a navy show jacket so it had to do, I won my class at Essex county show so looks like it was ok to wear a navy jacket

Navy is much preferable to black so your winning on that front already.

The colour of your jacket will be irrelevant unless you are doing a Best Turned Out class. So long as your horse is clean and tidy and you yourself are clean and tidy go and enjoy your day!
