Hey, wondering if you lovely lot could give me some recommendations on a jacket. My tweed is getting a bit shabby now so I'm looking for a jacket and I quite fancy navy. I'm quite short in the body and a size 8 so something that will fit my frame. Just after something that will look smart for eventing :)
Thanks!

Shires navy tweed is a nice fit and fabric, not too thick or heavy and not long in the body. Think it's the ladies Malvern range that I got. I did need to shorten the sleeves on mine but that was easily done.

Just remember if you are going to be showing, tweed is pretty much the route to go down as you can wear it for dressage & jumping too, unlike navy where you will not be able to wear it for most showing classes :D

I don't do any showing at all and don't plan to. We event at 100 over the summer and show jump and dressage over the winter

Fab, my friend just bought a gorgeous Pikeur (spelling?!) navy jacket for jumping in, it looks amazing on her

I got an Esperado Parade at xmas, absolutely love it. Was a toss up between that and the pikeur skarlett as I wanted the short style but I prefer the fit of the Esperado.
Edited to add - it's a fair bit cheaper too!

I've got a really nice navy soft shell one. Can't remember the make, it's an Italian brand, wasn't too badly priced at circa £100. And it machine washes - saving on dry cleaning costs!

Love my Pikeur - really comfy and can just be bunged in the washing machine!

I have the Pikeur Sarissa II and love it. It feels amazing on compared to usual style jackets yet still looks smart without being too faddy. You can also get it in a longer length if wanted/needed.

I have a Pikeur Radina, which is a bit shorter cut than most of their others. I have a very short body with very long limbs.
