I volunteer at NAWT Berkshire (otherwise known as Trindledown Farm). Its a small rescue centre that specialises in elderly animals - both cats & dogs, and field animals.

I thought you might like some pics of the dogs I spent some time with at the weekend:

Coda - Black labx staffy. Very friendly with an enormous tongue that he tries to wash your face with.
Sandy - Staff x labby something? Very friendly and loves to have cuddles.

Phloe - Little hairy JRT - 16 with plenty of princess attitude "I want it and I want it now"

Ruby & Pinkie - 9 yo sisters that cme as a pair. Need both hands to cuddle effectively.

Aw I hate to see old dogs in rescue, although it looks like they have lots of home comforts and cuddles. What's the story with Phloe, thats quite an age to be in rescue.:(

They don't suffer from a lack of comforts. All the dogs & cats have heated rooms with a sheltered outdoor run with access to a larger pen. All the rooms have sofas + bed and Tvs

Nearly all of them come from elderly homes where the owners have passed away or can't care for them any more due to ill health. The animals are usually over 8 years old and they have a very good rehoming rate, even for the ancient oldies.
