Nearest Hunts to Market Rasen and surrounding Villages

Hi all, Just a quick Q, I'm wanting to take my 6 year old hunting this year but am unsure as to the closest hunt. I'm basically a newbie to hunting as is my horse ( I say Newbie, I last hunted on a P2P horse in Wales back in 1999 (?!) ) Could someone let me know where the closest/Best Hunts are in the area mentioned in the title?

You're in between the Brocklesby Hunt and the Burton Hunt, but I'm not sure which would be your 'local pack'. Either way I imagine both have plenty of meets nearby. The South Wold, the Blankney and the Grove & Rufford may not be too far either, but I don't know if you have transport or how far you're willing to travel. The MFHA used to have a very useful website called "Find a Pack" but it seems to have disappeared. The hunts all have their own websites though.

I don't know about the 'best' hunts though! Though I don't know the country I imagine any jumping will probably be more timber or ditches than hedges-but I could be wrong. If you are willing to travel further afield, the 'Shires Packs' are probably no more than an hour's drive away in Leicestershire. If you want plenty of hedges to jump these are probably the best packs in the country-the Quorn, Belvoir, Cottesmore, Fernie and Pytchley.
