I've got 2 heavyweight Rambo turnout rugs for the winter for my horse which belonged to my old horse. The new one is a TB and so I'd like him to have a neck although I'd rather not have to buy a new rug.

Can I buy a neck cover like this:

Do neck covers have to attach to the main rug or do they go on seperately? Any advice greatly appreciated!!

they generally attach to the main rug through the use of D rings on the rug and clips on the neck cover, though some combo rugs also have zips for extra security, though i dont think thats the case with yours

Those ones attach with Velcro. I doubt however your rug will have Velcro to attach a hood to. You could probably get you local rug repairer to sew Velcro onto your rug to enable you to attach a hood.

I used to use Masta neck covers with my Rambo rugs (the original green ones) as they were cheaper. I sewed on some d rings myself which the straps from the neck cover threaded through. They fastened back on themselves with a rocko buckle.

Or I could sell you the heavyweight Rhino turnout which is also sat in my garage, which comes complete with detachable neck cover.... size 6'6".....
