Got a new horse, need a new NZ. Have always used the old stretchy hoods, but this horse can't tolerate his ears being squashed down, so I haven't tried one yet. I notice many horses with neck covers seem to get their manes rubbed out. Don't want that. I'd like something that covered the face. Any ideas?

If you want face coverage then snuggy hoods are ace. I have one for my grey mud lover mare and it is fantastic. Some people have had scary experiences where they have slipped during turnout, fortunatly I haven't experienced this. They also do a stretchy neck cover without head which might be just the thing?

She also has rugs with neck covers and I haven't found that they rub her mane out either. She has a neat pulled mane year round for plaiting and I haven't had a problem with skinny plaits yet! I do spray mane and tail on her mane so that any rubbing is reduced, and I only have neck covers with nylon lining as I think that helps too.
