Hi guys
Been up to the horse this evening and spied this on his neck:
The scuff/cut he had on Sunday so it can't be related to that?
He doesn't get upset if you touch it, meaning i've squished it right down but can't feel anything. It's not hard, it's not soft, there isn't a puncture wound, no pus, no blood, no nothing - its just there! It's like it has air in it but not like bubblewrpa, if you get what i mean!! He's just his normal self - not grumpy, still grazing, not lathargic, he's alert and persistently frisks you for goodies. He's not been out of the field or off the yard for about a month (he's only 3yrs old) and just lives with another horse who hasn't been off the yard either. He's had a lightweight rug on this week so I wondered if maybe it could be a heat lump (if they even get them) or he could have been bitten by a midge and it's maybe an "allergic" reaction, like a person could get to a bee sting?
If you think it's something really horrid, please break this news gently!!
