For a trail anyway.

Can anyone recommend any feed?
I'm sure there's a million and one threads on here about feeding, but every horse is different!

He's always been unshod on the back, but never (as far as I'm aware) on the front.
I took him out on the road yesterday and he seemed to cope fine, but I wondered if there's anything to help him stay unshod long term?

ETA - he's on nothing at the moment, just grass and he did have a bit of hay, but that has now run out (he will get more if needed when it gets cold)

A good balancer like Forageplus Winter balancer or Prohoof to help hoof quality. Use tiny bit of Fast Fibre as a carrier.

Of and get a hand rasp like Radius Rasp for just rounding of chipped bits of hoof.

Be lead by your trimmer/farrier on the rasping front but just having a small rasp handy can help the chippy bits turning into hunks of wall. My boys feet are good from good forage and the winter balancer. No broken bits.
