I have been a member of this since it first started and have just logged on as I bought a new horse a few months ago and wanted to "Associate myself with the horse" as they ask you to do but now find that you need points to do so???
I have been given 5 free but why would I want to use one of these to do this, I would sooner save them to look at a record some time of a horse I may purchase.
Surely nobody is going to pay money to do this so therefore the details on the system will be incorrect??

I actually did pay to associate myself with my horse (today) I bought 5 top ups and it didn't cost a lot.

As many thought from the start, a way of graduallly getting more money from us horse owners.

i am in the same situation!
I dont see why i should have to pay to be connected to my horses.
If they want the system to work, surely it would be better for all owners to be able to link themselves for free, that way the system will be kept fully uptodate?
for some reason my shetland got removed totally from NED, as he had 2 entries and both were removed - can i get him put back on - so far - nope! (despite emailing stud book etc)

I think the whole thing is a farce anyway! Why would you want your horse,s breeding details linked to his competition results? So anyone who is looking for a horse by a particular stallion can look at what results the horse gets and where it competes regularly and then all they need to do is follow the horse home from there....
About as safe as displaying your bank details on Facebook in my opinion!!

Luckily all mine are foreign bred so no details on there yet... listed several times though as they do not compete in their passport names...

Yes, sounds like another waste of time. I agree, if owners associate themselves and check details are correct then make people pay to see other peoples' horses it may have worked.
