First we had the farrier. Ned is quite bad and it often takes a while, just to take the old shoes off. He likes to snatch and if he gets REALLY bad, he'll try and rear.
There was none of that :)
If anyone of you use Toby in the MK area, I LOVE HIM! He was so calm, but wasn't afraid to show Ned he was boss.

Then, after he'd gone, I decided to break Ned of his habit of not letting me on, or standing at the mounting block.
After about 20 minutes of walking him to the block, then getting cross when he took a step back he finally got it :D

I got on and off 10 times and he didn't move an inch!! I even walked away, then got back on, then lead him away and got back on :D
SO proud! Getting the vet out soon to ask if I can start short walking rides around the village :)

He trotted across the field yesterday, he looks a lot better but I want the vet to give me the OK before I do anything more than just getting on and off.
I'm hoping to do something like this every day, so he's a pro by the time I get back on for good :)

love his face in the first photo, like to hear about ned he sounds opinionated and strong willed (stubborn) at times, reminds me of my horse.

Yay! :D

I have had issues getting on Barry, mostly solved now...I think!?...but just in case, can you get Ned to have a word with him about how awesome it is to stand still and let your rider get on straight away please?
