Yesterday I entered Ethel and I for our first ever dressage tests. They're only Intro A and Intro B and unaffiliated so just entered her with her stable name but I'd really like her to have a posh name for the future and if we ever do sign up for BD or BE like I'd like to.
I have asked this a few times and had some good suggestions that I liked but nothing I loved and thought, thats the one!

So I'd be grateful for any suggestions :)

Oops, sorry yes of course!

Ethel is a bay TB mare, her sire is Tobougg (Barathea x Lacovia) and her dam is Kallistas Pride (Puissance x Clan Scotia). She was bred to race but never made the track and wasn't named. At 15.2 she is only little but full of attitude! She has no white markings apart from two scars on her nose, here are some pics of her in case they help :)

Thanks :)

I love the name Ethel! If I ever have a mare I will call her Ethel or Esther.

How about Ethelred the Unready? A silly show name rather than a flattering one, was a saxon king!

What about Ethereal?

"eh·theer·ree·al (-thîr-l)
adj.
1. Characterized by lightness and insubstantiality; intangible.
2. Highly refined; delicate. See Synonyms at airy.
3.
a. Of the celestial spheres; heavenly.
b. Not of this world; spiritual."

Pigeon, thanks I love it too :D I'm determined to have a herd of horses with old people names, Jean, Betty, Enid, Agnes .. Theres a horse at work I've nicknamed Alan who I'm desperate to have when hes done racing :P

Someone has mentioned Ethereal and I think it's going to be that or I do quite like Noble Ambition arctic fox :) I like Tobouggie too, but I'm sure thats already been taken!

Thanks everyone, I think I've settled on Ethereal after asking nearly everyone I know what they think of it, everyone thinks its lovely :)

Thank you amymay! :) That would also be a good name :)
