I am hoping to get my foal Summer microchipped in the next month, but I do not know which organisation to register her with to issue her a passport. I have looked at the Piebald/Skewbald Association but they state different breeds. I have no idea of her breeding and not really sure if she will turn out to be a light/heavyweight cob?

I also need to get Rosie's passport overstamped as she has a Dutch passport. It was issued by the Irsh cob society in Holland and they have no address. I do not want to post Rosie's passport into the unknown as it has all her vacinations on it. I have heard some organisations can overstamp them. I need to have her passport in my name.

So can anyone recommend the best organisations/breed soiceties for both Rosie and Summer?

If Summer is going to be and Rosie is 14.2 or over, then you could use SHBGB for both. They will give Rosie's passport an overstamp and issue a plain ID passport for Summer. If you have a legitimate covering certificate to prove her breeding they will include that in it I think. Both types are £25 each. Summer will need a vet sketch and to be micro chipped before they will accept it; as long as Rosie has a vet sketch in her own passport, you will just need to send the passport with the application. If I was you, I would photocopy every page of her passport before you send in the original, that way you have a copy if anyone asks to see it and you also have written proof of her vaccinations if by any chance it did get lost. Touch wood, I have sent in loads and never had that happen yet! You can download the forms from here -

If they are coloured, you could use either CHAPS or BSPA and just say breeding unknown if that is the case.

I love Jaffas and tea!
