Arrgghhh Men!!
Decided to let my boy have a little loose jump today after being lunged, just for fun. I do this on my own now and then and all goes well and he seems to enjoy himself.
Well today the boyfriend was there, so said he'd help. Great I thought two pairs of hands
It was all going fine, horse jumping nicely, ears pricked etc, about 1.30 high little oxer.
Boyfriend then decides to put it up to 1.60m .... I say thats too high, he's no need to jump that high.... he says he can do it ... so I let him get on with it against my better judgement. As I guessed, horse canters up to it and thinks no thanks and refuses. He tries him again .. same thing happens.
End result we have a big argument cos I think he has over faced my poor boy, he stomps off and the poor horse won't go anyway near the jumping lane!
I ended up getting him to pop over 3ft on my own in the end. I'm worried this may have knocked his confidence
