Just to add, I don't use micronised linseed but so many people rave about it so probably worth a try? (I wasn't writing tongue in cheek btw I do have oldies who do require 4 or 5 feeds per day at certain times of the year so was just giving OP my experience of my guys who mess with my mind like hers does )

Is she in a field on her own? If so, I would try putting a bucket of fast fibre out for her to eat when she wants....it can be fed as a 'hay replacer' and as disgusting as it looks, I haven't seen a horse turn it down!!!

It's ok spring feather lol, I know what you mean. And thankyou for all your replies everyone. Really appreciate it, I think I will have to buy a weigh tape meausre her and re measure in 2/3 weeks of Ad lib hay at night and some haylage in morning. If that doesn't work....I'll be back for more advice lol

Yes she is in her own field are with a horse either side of her. So yes in field by herself but not without company in sight before people attack me on horses being by themselves lol

Micronised linseed does work, just be careful how much you give, our 18 yr old ex broodmare was ribby when she came in March, by July we thought she was pregnant, she is now on a strict diet

They deliver too. You don't need much so it will last you, I believe that you can feed up to about 400g a day if you need it but you may find that 100g a day is plenty.

I used Equijewel on a horse that struggled to keep weight on in the winter. It certainly did the trick for this particular horse. He was getting ad lib haylage, Alfa a oil and topline no4 too.
