NEED DESPERATE HELP .... Which boots?!

Hi,
I am starting work in a race yard (Emma Lavelle's) as a stable lad in September. This is my first job in racing so I dont already own all the necessary kit. When i went up for an interview all the staff had the same exercise boots, some obviously in different colours but the type was the same. I think that they were the Tuffa Sandown boots after some extensive browsing on the internet but was too shy to ask! I would love to find out more if anyone knows about these boots, or if these arn't the ones to get. really need exercise boot recommendations. should i get made to measure?
Also if anyone has or does work for Emma, please do let me know what its like there!
Any other tips for when i go would be great, and any clothing/ equipment that i should buy ?

the yard will provide everything for the horses so all you need is what you wear. did you look at what the other lads were wearing? if so just get the same sort of things. if not drop them an email and ask the secretary what you need
 
Hi Sam,

How exciting! I would send them a quick email saying thank you for the opportunity, you are really looking forward to starting and want to come prepared so could they please tell you what you will need in order to perform your job. You may find they provide you with some equipment!

yeah thats what i meant, by exercise boots... riding boots essentially but especially for racing :)
