I've just had a tearful/ hysterical phone call from a friend of mine who's got her new horse arriving on Saturday and her 'friends' called her last night to tell her that she isn't going to be able to put it on their yard after all. She's now panicking as she doesn't really know the area and so doesn't know where it's going to be delivered to. She lives in Rolleston on Dove on the staffs/ derbys border. She doesn't drive and the above place was only ever temporary for the next month or so until a place comes up at the yard down the road. She's willing to pay for full livery for the time until she can move it to this yard if it's not a place easily got to on public transport. Anyone got any ideas as I've got to go and pick her up in a bit to go trawling around all of the places I know. It's a 3 1/2 year old anglo that is in desperate need of some TLC and feeding up so needs a stable. ANY IDEAS?!?!

The no transport is a tough one....Heart of England at Spot Acre near Stone is a great place and the horse would be very well looked after but I am not sure what kind of public transport links it has.

Eland or Marchington would be close ish. Horsepower Equestrian are just off the A38 towards Litchfield and they are great, not sure how busy they are at the moment though. Scropton would be close for her. Or Etwall has lots of options, Barleyfields, Hargate, Highfields.

Best of luck and let us know how she gets on!
