Need help from British Dressage members!!

Hey im new to this forum and wondered if anyone could give me some help! I have competed at two affiliated dressage comps (on tickets) and have already qualified for Petplan area festival so my boss is nagging my to register.
Neither me or my horse have been registered before so its going to cost us about £160! But what confuses me is the points system! Do your results get send to BD and they keep a a record? whats stops people from making up how many point their horse has?? it confused me (it doesnt take much)

Also do you guys think its worth me waiting til the winter to register or do it asap! im just very aware that if i register my mum has agreed to drive further to competitions but she would actually murder me if i wasted my membership!!!!!

Any advice you can give me would be awsome! thank you!

Points are done through BD, it is all computerised and each time you compete the venue will send your results back to BD who will record your points. You don't have to worry about that!

maybe register at the beginning of July because that is when Winter qualifers start, you can then focus on getting your winter regional qualification!
