Hi, i have a little Tb ex-racehorse i need to re-home, due to me being pathetic and having huge loss of confidence issues !!! never been bad or nasty just green and needing work which i cant give him.

Thanks JillA for your response,
had a look but only one persons looking for a project and wants him delivered !
i have asked around locally but there are so many looking for homes its very hard .

It isn't easy these days, especially if you are going to struggle to show him to anyone. But you need to get the word out further afield, which means advertising. Preloved is free to advertise, and Facebook have a few groups in most areas. Be very very honest about his history and failings, make it clear he will be sold "from the field" and pitch the price accordingly. Please don't offer him free to a good home though - there are people who will take any freebie and then whisk it to the nearest horse sale to make a few ££££s. Sell him at a realistic price or offer him Loan with a view to buy. The drawback of that is that you have to be prepared to have him back if it doesn't work out. Can you find someone locally who will help yo, maybe ride him a few times for a fee, or even take him on a selling livery? That may mean you don't have a great deal left over after you have sold him but at least if someone pays for a schooled horse they are unlikely to use and abuse him.

There is a lovely group on Facebook called 'Ex-racehorse owners do not have a deathwish'. You could put an advert on there, or look up Final Furlong rehoming. Good Luck. :)

ETA You're not pathetic! You are actually very brave for admitting that your horse needs someone with a bit more confidence than you have at the moment.x
