I have a 5yr old Irish sport horse X TB, she travelled badly over from Ireland and put her neck and back out so I had the physio out who put her back to 'normal', then I started her flatwork training using the Pessoa, which has worked wonders. But unfortunately she over reaches and brushes badly, she has scars on her front and back legs, from previous injury so I'm not able to ride her without boots on or risking injury to her...
My plan is to compete her this season, I'm mainly interested in sj and xc, with the odd ODE, but obviously I can't wear boots/bandages during the dressage test...
Does anyone have any ideas/exercises on what I could do or what will help???
She engages her back end and works well in an outline now, I was hoping she would 'grow out' of over reaching once she muscled up and worked correctly, however she hasn't changed
Is there going to be any hope for us to do a dressage test?
Thanks.
