Need Jockies

I need little jockies for my ponies. Without susess, so what am I doing wrong... I'm trying to promote horse riding/husbandry and hunting. All for free, but kids, only want to do stuff in the summer months and that is minimum work.

Advertise where you are and maybe some people on here will have kids willing to learn and muck in and do all the jobs

I would try posting in the tack room with more information; it gets more traffic than introductions, which is for new members to say 'hello!'
But it is impossible to know what you're doing wrong without knowing what it is you're doing

The odd time I have put a post on fb looking for a wee kid to ride a pony in the ring for me as a one off most people expect me to pay the parents fuel and the pay the kid to ride it after I have paid entry fees, given them tickets to get in and provided show clothes. Plus kids get to keep all rosettes and prize money they win

Posting your rough location on here might help, together with a bit of information about your ponies and what is on offer.

I have found riders for friends' ponies through my RDA group - our volunteers include parents with pony-mad kids who can't volunteer because they are years away from our minimum age. One of them has gone from being on the lead rein to cantering with no stirrups and no hands (he saw it on the internet!) and happily mucks in with all the jobs.
