Got a phone call first thing this morning from my friend and one of her horses is dead! He was found in the field thismorning! I just cant beleive it, I feel awful and cant stop crying.
I know exactly how she feels as I lost my baby a while back and she knew Id understand so she rang me first.
Made it into work, but every time some one talks to me I just start crying.

I lost my mare suddenly in the field two years ago so know what your going through
 
one of liveries on the yard im at was out riding with her freind at weekend and was in an accident, one of the horses is dead but i dont know which one and woman was airlifted to hospital, at this point i dont know if the horse i look after is dead or not...
 
Big hugs - this is so sad and a real shock to you as you had no time to prepare or say goodbye. Having lost cats like this I really do know how you feel - I have not been able to go to work for a day or so with mine as I have just gone to pieces.

I know what you are going through, i was told my lovely gelding would be fine after an accident he had and 2 days later found him dead in his stable, don't think you ever get over it, just remember the good times, it will get easier
 
Oh that's awful, big {{hugs}} to you and your friend. Also Spangle I hope the horse you look after is ok and I also hope the riders make full recoveries.

We dont know yet what happend, the vet had taken some blood so hopfully he will be able to shed some light soon.
There was blood, so it may have been a blood vessel or possible an anyurism (sp?)
