I have decided I need to move yards. My YO is a cowbag and is so negative. She told me today that B needs to get off hayledge as she is 'too fizzy and you told me she was calm, she shouldn't be like that for a 5 yo'

Okaay...
1) it's not her bloody horse
2) she is calm in the stable, just gets excited but is fine when she settles to work
3) has a lot to learn as she is only 5 (she was unridden before we got her)
4) she has only been ridden for 3 weeks!

She only ever comments if it is a negative remark and has said nothing about how nicely she is coming along etc. She already thinks I am a rubbish rider and has said things that have made me doubt my ability. I just feel so cross about it. So I want to move and she can bitch to other people. Grrr.

The last thing anyone needs is somebody putting them down all the time, or being negative. Sounds like your YO is far from helpful, and you would be better going somewhere more supportive. Just weigh up the good and bad, though. Nowhere is perfect, and if your horse is happy, that is a consideration too.

Time to go, and then tell her a few home truths.

You pay for the facilities, not her opinion!

You definiatly need to go. My friends and I made the decision to move yards a couple of months back and it was the best thing we could have done. It makes the world of difference having support at a yard, after all we do it for fun and pleasure, not because we have to!

Sounds like a class case of jealousy to me!!I had the same prob at a yard,i was struggling like hell with my boy(just learning, wouldnt go off my leg very well, mind my legs are weak, lol),she couldnt wait to help me out and take some praise,however...me and my boy finally clicked(took long enough, lmao)and he started schooling like a dream,SHE never passed any comment unless it was negative!I relished in this and rubbed her nose in it for a month or so(huge amounts of jealousy on her part, she liked my horse)then told her to take a running jump and moved elsewhere!lol!
I would find a better yard with a better attitude and somebody that will just pass the odd confidence boosting compliment as they walk past!!
