Bay at glance, have you ever clipped her, and if so is she a much lighter colour underneath. my horse is registered dun but isn't as dark as yours but can look quite bay at times, as he isn't the traditional milky coffee colour that i always thought duns were. His undercoat is much lighter than his topcoat though

Does she have a dorsal stripe? If so, dun, if not, bay!

All duns have a dorsal stripe but not all horses with a dorsal are duns!
My mahoganny bay mare has a very destinctive dorsal strip so this makes what gleeful imp stated confusing?! If you check this website out it explains all about the dun gene and how it creates so many different shades Bay dun being one of them which is what I think you mare is but she may also be a shade of grulla??

I would for insurance purposes call her a bay dun, but if you wanted to be ultra sure you could look into gene mapping via a blood sample.
Hope this helps

Grullo/grulla is not bay dun, it is black dun!

For example, look at these ponies, these are true grullo / grulla / black duns:

This is what a bay dun looks like:

I see nothing in these photos from the original poster to make me strongly lean towards calling her dun - she does look very strongly bay. However, you can get the odd horse who can be very deceptive. What colour are the parents? And what breed is the horse?

Unfortunately, at the moment you cannot test for dun, only for whether a dun horse is homozygous. It is possible to test for buckskin tho, so if by dun you mean is the horse buckskin, that is testable for.
