Need reassurance.

That;s a complete disgrace. Good 1st ponies are like hens teeth and nothing will ruin a child's confidence like a bad pony. The best place to look really is the PC, have you checked out the classifieds section on the PC website?
Most of the best ponies changed homes after camp but there will be some left, you just have to move quickly and be able to get reliable references.

Ive got one for you!

Totally know what you mean.....my YOU just got her face kicked in by a 12 2" on trial - went to take it's temp (by the book no risks etc) pony kicked her face, broke all her top teeth, broke bone between nose & top teeth & her jaw is now wired.... can you imagine if it had been the child that got kicked...

People are unbelievable with what they will try and sell as a first pony

Try putting adverts every where, local riding schools, tack shops, feed merchants, Riding club and area PC's spring newsletters you may be able to catch something before it is advertised.

Our 1st pony was fabulous, it took us a while to find him. The only problem was that when we came to sell him we had a job because he wasn't forward going enough and didn't jump high! - 5 years later we are still in close contact with his owner and he is still being fabulous.
