im doing a schooling service through the summer till im back in work in september just to keep some money coming in. im offering intense schooling for how ever many weeks are necasary but the horse can stay at home rather than taking it somewhere else. keeping a horse competition fit while they go on holiday etc. and schooling a horse to bring it on to competition level if the owners dont have time etc, but im being flexible with them. now i need to make a price list. what sort of price would you be happy to pay?. just your oppinions so i can work from it, and i need a slogan too to put on the front of my leaflet.
and just a quick insurance question. is it worth me ringing my insurers that my horse is with to see if im covered to ride anyones horse ? i will be registering as a sole trader if it takes off just incase anyone says :D
ta muchly!

Hello,
I would check the insurance, when i looked into groom insurance as soon as you were riding or looking after a horse for money, it invalidated some insurances.

How about 'Back to School' or 'Backing to Schooling', or 'Fit to Ride', 'Fit to finish'. I would expect to pay £20 - £30 per hour if you are schooling and your riding is of a very good standard, this would include travel expenses and time. I would pay £10 an hour for someone to hack my horse to keep it fit, if their riding was good and I wanted my horse kept fit. don't know if that helps?

yeah that does help alot! i dont know of many people in my area that travel to people to school their horses etc so hopefully wont have to much competition in prices. i ring my insurers in the morning and ask about insurance for me riding other horses.
