my pony has droped a bit of wieght and has not got allot of energy whats the best feed to help him

no just becuase he has not got much grass in field an he is in work

If your horse isnt allergic etc to it then the traditional cheap winter weight keeper is soaked sugar beet.

try a feed called sumo its about £15 a bag great stuff used it on a toast rack tb in summer and was amazed at the transformation and makes coat super shiny.

Ad-lib hay. The usual reason for dropping weight at this time of year is using energy to keep warm. hay is the best thing to keep your horse warm - from the inside - which allows them to maintain - or even gain - weight.
I also recommend the use of sugarbeet.

If there are problems with sugar beet, then try speedi beet as it has no molasses, works well for our big girl.

I feed mine on Dengi Hifi and sugar beet, its great for putting on and maintaining weight, its also a good natural source of energy
