My boy had gastric colic tonight

I think it is under control *touchwood*, but for those of you with horses prone to it, how do you manage them?

My previous horse used to get bouts of colic quite a bit - he was quite a nervous character and if he got upset/excited he would usually end up with colic.
If the hunt was about or something I would keep him out in the field as the vet said it would be better for him to be able to keep moving, and hopefully prevent it turning to full blown colic and also he recommended feeding pure magenisum in his feeds to settle his tummy.
