my lorry has gone to the great garage in the sky

.... a tad inconvenient as I'm due to go off on a dressage clinic tomorrow afternoon, for a long weekend :( ... plus then I've got a whole line up of things each weekend after that!

Anyone know of any good places to hire lorries from/ anyone know any 7.5t horseboxes for sale (not with a massive budget, so older lorries.....)?

I'm in Kent, near the Sussex border.

Thanks for any help!

I've got a friend that has a B reg leyland she needs to shift. Runs ok (apparently) but currently SORN and needs some welding done. There is a local guy that could do the work, but wouldn't be ready for your dressage!!

If I were you, see if any of the companies would lease you a 3.5T for a month or so, it's off season so shouldn't be awful ££, and in that time you should find something to buy.

I.m just about to put mine on horsemart, M reg. Iveco. Only for sale as only have one, out of work (permanently) horse left. It will be a very sensible price for quick sale as I have nowhere to keep it. 5.5 tons. Let me know if you want more details, I am in East Sussex

hopefully this is a photo

thanks Amanda - that would have been perfect timing, but I do really need a 7.5T, to take 3 horses (one of which isn't that large, so should be OK with a 7.5T).

IHW, hmmmm.... maybe you're right, to hire for a bit rather than a panic buy could be a good idea.... but I can't help but thinking that what I'd pay to hire could otherwise be added on to the price of a new lorry.......

Thanks also Escada...... I do travel regularly so happy to leave my county ;) .... not sure quite how far you are from me tho?

I think you may be mistaken as that looks like a 7.5T to me(6.5 was the lowest weight they did on that Chassis) .Maybe they meant 5.5T unladen in which case it would be perfect I would check before dismissing it.
