Need to find a contractor - Lancashire

Was all excited expecting our contractor to start work on our stable base this weekend just gone. Spoke to him on Sunday and he told me he was delayed and couldn't get the machines delivered until Monday and haven't heard anything since!! So disappointed, we've waited all summer for this. I rung and texted several times but no answer so I'm trying to find someone else as we're desperate to get some done before winter. I managed last winter but can't face another one of mud!

So does anyone know of anyone that they can recommend? Looking to do as cheap as poss although want a good job

Whereabout in Lancs are you & is it just the base you wanting doing or stables built?

Our stable contractors were really slow and unreliable, as were the firm that did my friend's! Seems to be quite common.

Try Castelli builders from Standish, they're listed as a general builder but he has built stables,sand paddocks etc in the past - and as he has a horsey family & keep liveries on their farm he has experience of what horsey people are looking for!

I'm in Westhoughton nr Bolton and Wigan. Looking just for base and sand school. Have a shelter to put on base till we save up money for stables. Just have enough for base and school at moment

I'd second Castellis, their stables are lovely and they were built by themselves.
