Need to know!!


I think it is to help the horses breathing? I wondered that & it was the only conclusion I came to.

Looking at it, it looks like it has the effect of lifting the nostril slightly & therefore opening the nostrils wider to allow more air into the lungs?
 
yes they're nose strips, human athletes use the same sort of thing sometimes as well, they just widen the airways to allow more oxygen to get through.
