Hi all,
So 3 weeks ago my boy came up lame. To cut a long story short he was scanned a week ago and it showed a substansial tear in his deep digital flexor tendon just where his very long check ligament ends!
Was told to keep him turned out in a small area (probably about 18x18), given tensolvet to apply topically and danilonm twice a day. I was told not to boot him.
He's feeling a bit better about himself now after a week on danilon and has started running about in his little field. He came in today and the tendon was soooo hot you could cook a couple of fried breakfasts on it and so swollen. I have put sports medicine boots on him now and stopped the tensolvet as his skin was not doing very well.
HAs anyone else experinced this kind of injury? What did you do with yours? The last thing I want is to let him make it worse. Would you take away the danilon? I'm going out of my mind - if it gets worse i've already been told he'll have to be pts.
Thanks in advance
