He's had a worm test too I presume?

It is worth remembering with oil that it can take a bit of time for their system to get used to using it as an energy source so it might be that he is just taking a bit longer to adapt but you can only do what you can. If it is teeth is it worth considering some grass chaff for him over the winter?
 
Yes, been worm tested. As they all live out, I spent a good few hours one Saturday to collect a sample from all 3. (Much easier when they’re stabled) :)

Vet has said to monitor him for the next 4 weeks, introduce the oil slowly. Looking for maintenance over the 4 weeks, then a slow increase in weight.
 
we get old rescues in at times and they all go equerry conditioning mash. they find it easy to eat and it put condition on well. Also have a friend who swears by equijewel.
