Why do some people do things without a care for anyone else? They go back on their own word and it hurts. A lady that I know and knew very well (we did have good times) is now coming to my yard and teaching them (without much improvement yet!) after I was told I was teaching them ...(need the money). Iam qualified, she is not, Iam charging less and she has even said to me that she has little time to teach (she 'does' event horses) and YET SHE STILL CONTINUES TO COME OVER AND TEACH.
Now, I don't mind if the people on the yard want her, but as I was told I would be teaching it still makes no sense to me... I need the money, she does not!! (i know for a fact)!! Just wish someone would explain why iam suddenly being ignored.
Do people assume that cos the charge is big she is a good teacher?? Is that how it works?? Shall I charge £100?? - I think not, Iam a nice person who makes lessons fun and people learn. I wish I could get noticed more and taken seriously!
ok i could go on, but thats it for now before i say something very silly!

i would take the most approachable (and discreet, if pos) one aside and ask politely whether they will tell you why they have chosen to be taught by her instead of you. it might be kudos, it might be one of a thousand reasons, but it's worth asking.

End of the day people will make there own judgement on if they are getting value for money, enjoying their lessons and improving with their riding, if I was you, I'd just sit back and see what happens rather than blowing off steam about it, you never know people might just be booking lessons just to see what she's like or because someone else has....doesn't always mean its because they think their the best instructor.

If the instructor is no good then people will stop having lessons, but its not just about how many exams you have or the cost, its down to teaching style, experience and most of all word of mouth, let it run it's course, you never know people may then decide to try you.

You can't let personal issues (like you needing the money more than her) eat away at you, at the end of the day, if she's earning her crust then she's entitled to making money and giving lessons just as much as you are, no matter what she charges.
