just took pup to visit a neighbour. Invited in ,neighbour pleased to see me and pup. Pup [ a little JRT 4 months old] wagging tail getting excited as you would expect. neighbour brews up then says he doesnt calm down does he? [ he;s on a lead and excitedly wagging tail and jumping up and down, not barking.] she then gets hold of his collar and forces his head down and keeps him there squirming around for ages and askes is he ever still dogs usually calm down when you do this, then lie down and go to sleep! poor pup was bothered by this. All he wanted to do was make friends and she invited us. :mad:she said its an old persons house [ sh'e s in her 60's] and visitors have to be calm and sit still and her grandchildren do just the same and are too lively! I am gobsmaked. couldnt drink the tea quick enough and shot back home.
TBH I am bloody furious. No wonder she's overweight with health issues , sits all day slumped in a chair watching tv. sharnt be taking pup round again even when she asks to see him.

the woman is unbeleivable. then again if she sits in her chair all day on her fat a"£$ moaning about how difficult everything is no wonder. the world is full of loonies who amnipulate others. thank goodness i have seen the light.
just got back from doing the horses. we had a cuddle and a groom. thatk goodness for my horses and my pup. he thoroughly enjoyed himself at the stables behaving as a puppy should, not forced to sit absolutely still because a lunatic woman says it exhausts her just to look at all his energy! Will be giving her a wide berth in future.

You let her do this? What if she'd damaged his spine? I'm afraid if someone had done this to one of mine, it would have been a swift goodbye, pick up pup and walk out. Totally wrong way to discipline a baby. :(

Makes you wonder what she does to her grandchildren to keep them still.
What An awful thing to do to your pup, as you say no need to call again,
Did you say she calls herself old in her 60's, goodness she has a long lonely road ahead with that attitude.

What a lunatic! Well I am in my sixtys and if anyone did that to one of my dogs I would flatten them. I shudder to think what hideous methods of control are inflicted on the grandchildren. :(

I would've flattened her there and then.

A friend brought round her new boyfriend many years ago when we had 5 samoyeds.
Naturally, they were very happy to see visitors and expressed their joyfulness as only sammies can :D
The b*****d boyfriend got very stroppy with them and started yelling at them. Well A- that never works with sams as they can yell louder, and B - he was outta that door quicker than you could say happyyappysams :D
My friend soon came to her senses and dumped the looser - no one yells at my dogs!
