Im just about to take on a jard. We have no electric and wont be for a few months. Has anyone any ideas on how to get a GOOD light. We do have a generator but its sooooooooo noisey. Dont want to spend fortunes either!!!
Big 12v leisure battery x 2 (£60 each), a battery charger at home(£25) and an inverter from somewhere like Maplin(£50 ish). This gave us good light and i could use mains power for clipping- the vet even managed to use his xray! plus it ran the electric fence but it needed charging daily for that hence 2 batteries so i had one to use and one on charge. Worked a treat and even a numptie like me could set it up
We have a light for a caravan awning (is that how its spelt?) that clips onto a car battery. Floods our 12x12 hayshed with light, and lasted all winter last year..
Hey Tyllwyn, we have a Genny, nice big one and it's quiet too, but we've ended up most of the time using head torches as we haven't really got the lights in all the right places and you always end up with dark shadows. Try it, they're really good and CHEAP.
