Hello lovelys.

In abit of a muddle! Family and I already have 4 horses. 3 of wich can't do much work. One totally retired through kissing spines, one to small for everyone but one,

Soooooooo. Yesterday looked a 2 appy boys. Beautiful 16.2 and 16.3. Brothers. Ones 8 and one is 10. Now brothe is In love with the 8 year old and mum and I are in love with the 10 year old, Both r perfect for what we want and the 10 year old would b PERFECT for my mum and dad to ride.

Now. My view is knickers to the wind. Only live once and get them both! May have to ask nicely at the bank but hay ho! Mum n dad should have a horse they can ride befor they get to old.

Views?

Ah.. What a dilemma.
Ask yourself following questions
Can I afford keep two. Do I have the time to devote to them.
Do I have the land for two more.
do I need two?

If yes to above, then good luck and enjoy

Firstly, can you afford the livery, feed, vet bills, farrier, bedding, tack, rugs etc etc for them?

Secondly, do you have enough time for them?

Thirdly, do you have enough grazing if you had 6 horses?

If yes, with no second thoughts go ahead :)

If you can afford to buy them but not keep them, don't get them...

But if keeping them is manageable and you just need a little help to buy them, why the hell not :D

As long as the financial help to buy them won't have an adverse effect on upkeep of any others or essentials for yourself & family, then go for it.
