Morning all!

I've been trying to find a small field to rent to train my dogs in agility but have failed spectacularly!

I'm now considering other options such as renting an arena for an hour or 2 at a time a few times a week (evenings and weekends). I wondered if anyone on here knows of anywhere in/around the HD8 area that would accommodate me and my pooches?

I'd really appreciate it if you know of anywhere (or even who I could rent a small field off!).

Many thanks in advance

Hi have you thought of joining a class? I did a beginners class with Springers and loved it, hoping to go back in summer. I can't think of any fields to rent but if you were looking for arenas if you look up Rockwood Equestrian, Charlotte has 2 outdoors and an indoor. You could contact her and ask if you could use that for agility? However she does charge £15 an hour so could work out very pricey for you :(

Hi
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I'm a member of a club already but need to practice in between. I emailed Charlotte this morning but I don't think it sent as computer had a funny moment! I'll try her again.
Thanks for your help.

Ah okay!! I'll try think of more places, I know it feels cheeky but you might have more luck just driving round places near you and knocking on doors if you see a spare field and ask if you could rent it for a few hours a week :)

have you got a garden? You can practise quite a bit with just one or two jumps and weaves. My dad's postage stamp size garden was still possible. I also took some of my stuff to the football field next door, it was just council land so there was no reason why I couldn't do it on there. Off season was during summer so it was the perfect time to practise.

Hi
Thanks for your reply.
Yes I have a small garden and I do use it for weaves and jumps and also take kit to a local recreation ground. However, this is no good for contact equipment as they're too big to lug around. I need to be able to leave them somewhere where I can set up and train.
Cheers.
