Needing to buy a cosy heavy weight rug for the winter for my 14.2. Anyone used the heavy weight amigo turnouts? Liked the price better than the rambo supremes! But open to suggestions!

I got a hw combo turnout on ebay from Riff Raff rugs alst year - the quality and attention to detail (I like the elasticted leg straps) are better than on some branded rugs and about half the price - have a look at them before you make your descision. Should say that my boy is is quite heavy on his rugs - likes to roll and he and his neighbour do quite a lot of hooning asorund and hanging of each other and the rug has survived totally intact!

Will find a link if you want to look further.

My favourite heavyweight combo is the Derby House one I have, it fits really well, lots of space for the shoulder, and my two were snuggly warm in theirs in the snow at the beginning of this year

and a good price!

I really like the Amigo rugs, however, i agree with golddustsara the Mark Todd rugs are excellent and last forever! are you going to burghley or blenheim - you can normally pick up a bargain there - or if you can wait Your Horse Live in November...

I love my Premier Equine ones. I am just in the process of selling all my large ones which I had for my last horse and the proceeds will go towards new ones

Winter rugs are always really cheap bought out of season

i ditto, my derby house heavy weight has lasted better than some of my other branded ones and it kept him lovely and warm and fits well. You may well pick up a better bargain if you can get to one of the larger events/shows.
